Dr. Hanson graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1992. He is from Willmar and after graduating High School attended Willmar Community College and then completed his pre dental education at the University Minnesota Twin Cities. Along with Dr. Fonkert, Dr. Hanson has taken numerous continuing education courses, striving to stay current with the latest trends in dentistry. He obtained fellowship status at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for advanced dental studies and fellowship with the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics. This included training and planning in advanced cosmetics, full mouth reconstruction, and treatment of TMJ and facial pain. He is also trained in treating people with obstructive sleep apnea. They use screening tools in conjunction with sleep physicians to help treat CPAP intolerant individuals. He has trained and learned techniques to make complete and partial dentures. They are sometimes combined with dental implants to help with function and stability. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental association and IAPA. He is proud to be a second generation dentist and have their clinic be a member of the Willmar Chamber of Commerce for 50 years. He is married to Dr. Fonkert and enjoys time with their family. Dr. Hanson likes the outdoors in his spare time. Hunting and fishing may top the list but he also likes to run, compete in triathlons, boating and hockey. He is proud to work with such a dedicated and well trained dental team who enjoy working with all facets of family dental care.

Dr Fonkert graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1993. She completed her undergraduate studies at Willmar Community College and the University of Minnesota-Duluth. She is also an adjunct professor for the University of Minnesota at the Carris Health Dental Outreach Clinic. Dr. Fonkert enjoys learning on a continual basis and is a fellow at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for advanced dental studies. She has had advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, metal free dentistry, TMJ (temporomandibular joint) dysfunction and treatment, Invisalign orthodontics, and 6 Month Smiles rapid adult orthodontics. She is also furthering her education in physiologic based orthodontics to help those suffering from TMJ pain if it is shown to be from bite issues. She has had training in obstructive sleep apnea and makes oral appliances for those that are CPAP intolerant. She also has had advanced training through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and is a member of the AAFE, allowing the use of neurotoxins(Botox) and dermal fillers in her office, along with trigger point injections. She is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Minnesota Dental Association, International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics(fellow) and the American Dental Association. Dr. Fonkert is married to Dr. Hanson and they have 2 daughters, Samantha and Jessa. She enjoys running, biking, volleyball, rollerblading, paddle boarding, boating, reading, and continuing education. She truly feels blessed to be able to go to a work place she enjoys every day, and to be able to help many people in a variety of ways.
